Re: Post your condolences for ABC15's Chopper Crew.

I listened and watched Craig Smith this morning.  The news had just had a story on a cat in a nursing home that can predict when a person is going to die.   Craig  said he didnt want that cat to come and climb on his bed.  I felt at that moment about how much I appreciated Craig and his humor.  Little did I know that within a few hours he would be gone.  I am so sad and I will miss him and his photograher and all the wonderful work they did.

I sat down at 2:00 as usual to watch General Hospital. As soon as I put on my tv and saw Craig Smith's picture, my heart just dropped. He was such a lively person and fun person to listen to. He had a great repore with the early morning crew and made it such a pleasure to watch. My condolences to the Smith and Krolak families and to you at ABC 15.

Re: Post your condolences for ABC15's Chopper Crew.

I am originally from Detroit, Michigan. I remember Craig Smith from WXYZ TV Channel 7 Detroit. Channel 7 being my favorite News channel in Detroit. When I relocated to Phoenix back in July of 2005 I was very pleased to see a fimilar face such as Craig's although I didn't know him personally It was like having a friend from home. He will be missed. I feel for Molly his dog as I also remember her from Detroit as well. My heart goes out to both ABC15 and Channel 3 and their families. - Goddess Bless.

Re: Post your condolences for ABC15's Chopper Crew.

16 years of my life I've spent watching the news with my family. I've watched the adorable puppy, molly, ever morning that I stayed with my grandmother with her owner by her side. I've loved the photography as well and its very devistating for me to watch this news broadcast and see how you have to hold your composure for the news, live. and for the witnesses and the others and seeing them cry, it makes me cry as well because I know them from what they stand for on the news. And though I dont know them personally I am greatly upset by what happened to them and they'll forever have my condolenses and my love for the inspirational work they gave and the dedication. I give my respect and loving warmth to the families to everyone who this has affected and to the families of those lost. ESPECIALLY, the channel 3 news team.

My thoughts and prayers are for the whole ABC 15 family. I watch your station each morning to get my news and weather for the day.

Craig Smith was always enjoyable to watch and always enjoyed seeing Molly the flying dog. All the best to the families of Craig and Rick during these hard times ahead.

Take care and god bless your station and the families of ABC 15,

Re: Post your condolences for ABC15's Chopper Crew.

I was having lunch at a restaurant in Scottsdale and saw the news about a  helicopter crash on their TV...couldn't hear it, though. When I returned to my office, I was told that it was 2 helicopters...ABC15 and Channel 3. I was totally stunned, and very saddened to hear that one of the people in the ABC15 helicopter was Craig Smith. I watch Craig do the traffic every morning and will greatly miss seeing his smiling face, along with Molly the Flying Dog. Molly has lost a wonderful companion and ABC15 has lost 2 valued friends. I hope to see Molly up there again some day, carrying on her former master's love for flying. My condolences to the families of the victims.

Re: Post your condolences for ABC15's Chopper Crew.

I go to bed every night with your news crew as well as eat dinner every night with your crew.

I was stunned when I heard and my sympathies go out to your family as well as the family of Craig Smith and Rick Krolak.  There aren't enough words to express my sorrow.

Thank you Craig and Rick for doing a wonderful job and may your path to heaven be a pleasant one.
